Call For Applications For Mobility Grants

In the framework of Nordic-Baltic-Russian network project Understanding Societal Change: Developing a regional network of transition studies funded by the Nordplus Neighbour program the EuroCollege, University of Tartu is offering mobility grants to the scholars from network member institutions for mutual research visits to the institutions participating in the above network (Please see the list of institutions on the website http://ec.ut.ee/nbrn/ ). The mobility grants will be allocated based upon the application corresponding to the conditions as described below:

The purpose and timeframe for the research visit. The purpose of the mobility grant is to support scholars’ short visits (max 7 days) to one of the partner institutions participating in the project network in order to develop a new course on transition studies, to conduct research at the library, also consulting and exchanging ideas with colleagues. The visit should take place in the course of the academic year of 2006/2007.

Eligible candidates are Ph.D Students, members of research and teaching staff from social sciences and dealing with issues of transition societies. 

Financial support includes covering the travel, visa, accommodation and per diem costs.

Applicants are requested to submit curriculum vitae and the letter of intent, including:
1.   Applicant’s contact info
2.   Objective of the research visit
3.   The name of the hosting institution
4.   Time schedule

Reporting: During 1 month after the research visit the grantees are obliged to submit an activity report attached by the syllabus of the course which will be put on the website as well.

The submission of applications is opened during the academic year until June 1, 2007. The applications should be submitted no later than one month before the planned research visit.
